Foaling at Palmer River Equestrian Center

We proudly offer specialized foaling care for mares and their newborn foals. Our team ensures that every stage of the foaling process is handled with expertise, compassion, and attention to detail:

• 24/7 Monitoring & Assisted Delivery   Experienced staff provide around-the-clock supervision during the foaling period, with assistance available for delivery to ensure the safety of both mare and foal.
• Pre- and Post-Foaling Care We support mares before and after birth with proper nutrition and veterinary oversight.
• Early Handling & Training Foals are gently introduced to haltering, leading, grooming, and hoof handling within their first days of life, setting the foundation for confident, well-mannered horses.

• 10 x 12 stall with transition to 12 x 20 stall
• Two to three feedings per day
• Continuous daily hay
• 24-hour foal watch starting day of mare's arrival
• On-call veterinarian with remote access to surveillance cameras
• Day and night turnout (weather permitting) - single or group
• All other medical services are paid directly to veterinarian
